Spank Your Child...Break the Law?
Fractured skulls. Broken bones. Burns, bruises and internal bleeding...and a nonviolent spanking to reprimand? Child abuse has been a problem for many years, however it wasn't until last year that it was redefined to liken the simple act of spanking to the evils of gross neglect, malice and major bodily harm upon a child.

A New Year... What Will You Choose?
A lot can happen within 365 days. Happy New Year. Early January and we have reached the tip of the new year- our favorite time to reminisce and reform the err of our ways in 2012.
Globally, many were impacted by the typical array of wars, threats of war, natural disasters and civil unrest. On a national level, here in the United States we’ve witnessed ongoing economic turmoil and yet another lie-infused presidential election. Other major 2012 headlines included the tragedy of several mass shootings upon US soil, the 2012 Olympics, the profound disappointment of the ho-hum iPhone 5, and what appeared to be flesh eating zombies in Florida (Serious. If you missed that story, look it up on Google and forever stay away from drugs.) Then there was also that end of the world apocalypse that everyone had pretty much forgotten about by the actual appointed doomsday of December 21st.
Congratulations if you’re reading this- you‘ve survived it all. Welcome to the new dawn, early January 2013 where most slates are still wiped clean and hopes and expectations for the new year are still formulating. In honor of the New Year, last weeks Truth Hack interviews recapped on last year and allowed the public to express what they’d like to see accomplished in the United States this year.

Update on Real ID
![]() |
| Real ID Postpone to 2015 |
The bad news is that it's still alive and hibernating somewhere on the dark side of legislative agendas.
The funny news is that this is approximately the fourth time that the Department of Homeland Security has set a new deadline for this unpopular act and called it THE LAST TIME.
In a December 21st 2012 statement the Department of Homeland Security admitted that only 13 states have met the standards for Real ID requirements. The non-compliant states now have until 2015 to get their acts together. No mention was made in regards to the numerous laws passed by individual states against REAL ID.
